About Us

IM E.L.I.T.E. Literacy & Leadership Foundation is a youth development nonprofit serving elementary, middle, and high school students in the Charlotte-Mecklenburg community. We provide structured programs that combine academic literacy, leadership development, financial education, and basketball-based learning to help youth grow into confident, capable leaders. Our approach focuses on teaching young people how to read the classroom, read the court, read the room, and read their financial future.

IM E.L.I.T.E. is a mindset and a standard—not a status. It means becoming Educated, demonstrating Leadership, living with Integrity, showing Tenacity, and pursuing Excellence in every area of life.
